What does it mean to be in integrity and how can this value help with your flow and authenticity?

“Authentic, heart aligned integrity happens through our integration of our values.”

What is integrity

Integrity:

I have been thinking about integrity. It was activated by the perfect storm of experiences, contemplating why a friend’s actions left me feeling unconsidered, and the truth behind what is integrity. Along with, whenever something is causing a ruckus in my emotions from the outside world, I try to look at myself also and where my own misalignment might be causing the chaos. One aspect of many, after being radically honest with myself,  I had each year been writing in my goals or "cultivations" for the year, to become really embodied in a couple of things, the list is often ambitious and multifaceted. I am definitely a multi passionate person and "focus" is not my personal superpower. So I realized as I investigated my own areas for improvement with integrity to myself. There was some repetitive years of cultivations, namely Daoist sword practice embodiment and a large body of writing I am hoping to one day finish, that had I been out of integrity with. There can be no more promises, just do or don't do as the wise Yoda said.

What does it mean to be in integrity?

It is superficial to just do what you say you will, because integrity should actually be meaningful, it should come from a place of integration.

What is integration?

When there is soul, heart resonance and alignment between your words and your actions. And that the heart is aligned with your personal values and intentions.

Sometimes beliefs and values we inherit from society, schooling or family does not align with our heart, in which case we are moving from a place of misalignment and obligation. Obligation suggests you have given away, or not found your spiritual sovereignty. Offering support, or help, or caring for others should never be burdened with a sense of obligation because it loses the sacred exchange of reciprocity in all relationships. Actions should never be done for the approval of others or to be witnessed, but rather for alignment with your own values. If your values do not move you then maybe they are not yours and you are moving through distortion.

You understand and embody your values so they authentically yours. When we cultivate our life to embody our values we move in authenticity and integrity.

To grow we must be willing to be radically honest with ourselves and able to look at where our words might not be reflected in our actions, behaviours, relationships.

Integrity is claiming your inner authority to grow from your challenges rather than stay in the limitations of your stories, woundings and labels. It is standing powerfully in your heart with the sovereign awareness that YOU ARE THE ONE that gets to choose growth and to find the resources to overcome your challenges, past behaviours, patterns or mindsets. No one else can do that for you. Attachment to stores validates you to stay where you are.

Attachment to stories validates you to stay where you are. Are you telling the story of who you were or are you becoming the most evolved version of you? Who you are becoming and what you are cultivating is more powerful than who you were in the past. But your past makes a beautiful compost that can become fertile soil for your unique super powers that came from your internal alchemy of presence, courage, awareness, compassion and transformation. All this creates the rich base to plant and nourish the seeds you will tend. Integrity is the anchor to who you are becoming.

Integrity, integration is committing to thoughts, practices, and habits that nourish your soul.

Integrity happens because regardless of external validation, you are walking your soul's path, staying true to your word and living with intention.

What are the daily habits that nourish your soul?

If you are interested in exploring this deeply, we will be gathering each season for 8 weeks in Alchemy of Emotions.
