Choose from support rooted in Chinese Medicine, Daoist philosophy, neuroscience, or mindful somatic therapy; our counselling offerings support you in meeting life’s challenges with resilience, clarity, and deeper self-understanding.
Below, we would like to introduce you to our three counselling practitioners and the unique wisdom each modality brings.
Sonja Alina den Elzen, R.Ac.
Daoist-Informed Emotional Alchemy & Embodied Transformation (Remote & In Person)**
Sonja’s work is an integration of Daoist medicine, Classical Chinese Medicine, emotional alchemy, Eastern psychology, and quantum-based healing. Her sessions create a grounded, compassionate space where clients learn to transmute emotional patterns into embodied wisdom, reorganize their internal landscape, and reconnect with meaning, integrity, and inner direction.
This approach is ideal for those who feel they are cycling through the same relational or emotional patterns, experiencing overwhelm, or longing for deeper alignment.
Through energetic awareness, somatic cultivation, and gentle perception-reframing, clients learn to restore harmony between body, heart, and spirit — one steady breath at a time.
Rebekah Autumn Novak, MSc Neuropsychology
Trauma-Informed Counselling, Addictions Support & Brain-Health Consulting (Remote & In Person)
Rebekah brings over five years of experience in trauma therapy, addiction recovery, and nervous system–based mental health support. Her work is where neuroscience meets deep, grounded humanity.
She helps clients understand how their brain and body respond to adversity — and how to gently reshape those pathways toward resilience and emotional freedom.
Her sessions are warm, non-judgmental, and deeply inclusive. Whether someone is navigating chronic stress, trauma patterns, emotional overwhelm, or the complexity of addiction recovery, Rebekah offers practical tools and compassionate guidance.
Her mission is to make complex brain science feel empowering, accessible, and directly applicable to daily life.
Zarah Calvert
Hakomi Therapy — Mindfulness-Based Somatic Psychotherapy (Remote Only)
Hakomi, from the Hopi phrase meaning “Who am I in relation to all realms?”, is a gentle, body-centred psychotherapy that uses mindfulness to explore unconscious beliefs, emotional patterns, and long-held adaptive strategies.
Zarah guides clients into an experiential, slowed-down state where the body reveals insights the mind may not yet have words for.
This approach is nurturing, non-violent, and deeply restorative — ideal for those who want to understand themselves on a somatic level and experience profound internal shifts through embodied awareness.
For clients who long for a gentler, more intuitive approach to therapy, Hakomi opens the door to quiet transformation.
